Ramón Menéndez de Luarca Bellido holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICADE, Madrid. He completed his graduate studies at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (MBA MSIA – Tepper Business School) and his PhD in Economics from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas ICADE, Madrid (Pending PhD Dissertation Defense).
Ramón Menéndez de Luarca has been the managing director of ALA Ingeniería y Obras, S.A., managing partner at Excel Partners S.A., a venture capital investment fund that managed over €300 million and invested in companies as Expert Machinenbau, Printone, Rotographik, GasGas, Unitronics, Meta4, etc. Previously, he was a manager at The Boston Consulting Group for which he worked at offices in Madrid, Lisbon, Sydney and London. Mr. Menéndez is an officer of the Spanish Royal Navy. Throughout his career, he has been a member of more than 20 boards of directors and also held administrative positions in some family-owned firms.
